£40m winter fund for most challenged councils revealed

£40 million in government funding has been announced to help 54 of England’s most challenged local authorities support urgent and emergency care this winter, known as the ‘Local Authority Urgent and Emergency Care Support Fund 2023 to 2024’ grant.

This money can be used to buy more services aimed at keeping people out of hospital, along with packages of home care which allow people to leave hospital and build back their independence faster.
