Become a governor of new Liverpool NHS Trust
Following the merger of Aintree University Hospital and Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals on 1 October 2019 into Liverpool University Hospitals, the Trust are seeking to elect a new Council of Governors.
The new council will be made up of 31 members from the public, staff and appointed constituencies.
Why not consider nominating yourself to become a governor for the new organisation? Being a governor allows you to be an ambassador for the new Trust, to influence how decisions are made, services developed and represent the interests of your local community.
Elections for Public Governors are being held for the following constituencies:
Public
- City Region North – 7 Seats (covering Liverpool, Knowsley & Sefton)
- City Region South – 7 Seats (covering Liverpool & Knowsley)
- North West England & North Wales – 2 Seats
Prospective Governor Information Sessions
If you are interested, a number of information sessions are being held, during which more detail about being a governor will be provided and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the position.

- Thursday 10 October, 5pm – 6pm, Aintree Site Boardroom
- Friday 11 October, 11:30am – 12:30pm, Royal Liverpool Site Conference Room
