Charity sets up information hub
April 24, 2020
The Eve Appeal charity has developed a cancer and coronavirus information hub so that people can access up-to-date and accurate information on gynaecological cancer pathways, from first investigation of symptoms through to follow-up post treatment, as well as information on the national cervical screening programme.
A charity spokesperson explained the reasons behind setting up the information hub: “This is a particularly difficult time to be living with a gynaecological cancer, or to be experiencing any worrying symptoms. Decisions are being made across the NHS which impact cancer care, screening programmes and GP appointments, and women and their families are understandably worried and confused. We have seen a big spike in calls to our nurse-led gynae information service, Ask Eve, with coronavirus related questions.”

Information on the hub will be continually reviewed and any updates added as they are announced. The Eve Appeal is working on further information around gynaecological cancers and coronavirus.
Its nurse-led information service, Ask Eve, is available to answer any questions relating to gynaecological health, and is completely free and confidential.
People can contact Ask Eve by emailing nurse@eveappeal.org.uk or calling 0808 802 0019.
