Dementia Friends session at the Atkinson – Wednesday 22nd May

The Atkinson in Southport are running a Dementia Friends session on Wednesday 22 May from 11am to 12noon. Anyone is welcome to take part.
If you haven’t heard of Dementia Friends before, it is a social action movement set up by the Government in 2012 with the aim to increase dementia awareness and to encourage people to take positive action. We now have over 2.5 million Dementia Friends across the country.
The free session will give you some basic awareness, help you understand dementia and allay some of the myths and misunderstandings about the condition.
