August 30, 2018

On Thursday 20 September, Sefton’s Health & Social Care Forum, in partnership with Healthwatch Sefton, is hosting a consultation event in response to The Future of Adult Social Care Paper titled ‘The Lives We Want To Lead’,  the Local Government Association (LGA) Green Paper for Social Care and Wellbeing.

The event will take place at SING Plus, 53a Cambridge Road, Seaforth, Merseyside, L21 1EX from 10am to 12noon. Places are strictly limited, so please RSVP to events@seftoncvs.org.uk if you would like to attend and take part in the consultation.

About the consultation

The Local Government Association has launched a public consultation and accompanying Green Paper on the future of adult social care.

The consultation is seeking views on future funding options for adult care recipients and unpaid carers. The green paper highlights the important role that voluntary organisations play in adult social care. It also acts as a starting point for conversations about more personalised, preventative and community-based support as well as new funding models.

Click here to read and download the green paper, or click here to take part in the consultation, which is open until Wednesday 26 September 2018.
