Galloway’s new programme of activities
Galloway’s Society for the Blind has just released a new programme of events for the next few months.
There are a host of activities and events lined up between May and July including the two-day Living with Sight Loss course, craft and bingo sessions along with organised walks and talks from invited speakers such as David Herron from Merseyrail.
Galloway’s Society for the Blind is a local charity supporting around 6,500 blind and partially-sighted people across Sefton and Lancashire.
The Southport branch is based in Wright Street where there is a stock of specialist equipment in the Sight Advice centre and serves West Lancashire and Sefton.
Galloway’s provides specialist training in: basic computer instruction through to specialist training in Guide and Jaws, and also teaches Braille (Sefton Residents only, arranged through Social Services, for those who live in Sefton).
Information days help Galloway’s to bring together national and local service providers to demonstrate some of the latest innovations in technology, resources and services available.
