Healthwatch Sefton Chair attends People First Merseyside Open Day

Our Chairman John Turner attended the People First Merseyside open day recently and had the opportunity to speak with service users and staff.
John is pictured with Phil, who shared his story with us at the Burlington House visit from Healthwatch England last year.
John said: “People First is a vigorous and thriving charity run by and for people with learning disabilities and their enthusiasm and commitment is impressive. The event is a tribute to the dedication of CEO Joanne English and her staff. People First are well represented on our Helathwatch Sefton Operations Group by Will who attends with Jan.”
“The mission ‘to ensure that the voices of people with a learning disability are heard, respected and valued and as a result they are able to live happier and healthier lives’ appears to being fulfilled.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed joining in Kick the Bucket, Fish for a Duck and a tour of several pictorial Memory Lanes.”
