Healthwatch Sefton Welcomes New Volunteer Locality Representative
Here at Healthwatch Sefton we are delighted to welcome our new volunteer locality representative Patricie Gorolova.
Patricie is studying Health and Social Care at Hugh Baird College and will be taking up the role of Volunteer Locality Representative for Bootle.
What does a locality rep do?
- Spend time getting to know local community groups/organisations in their local area.
- Attend local events, for example, local coffee mornings/ group activities to talk to people about Healthwatch Sefton and encourage them to join us.
- Listen to and record their patient stories, experiences and journeys of health and care services they have received.
- Promote us by distributing our leaflets and posters to local services and organisations.
- We would like our volunteers to attend at least two activities per month and we provide volunteer travel expenses. Volunteering is flexible, the majority of volunteer activities will take place Monday – Friday during working hours.
Wendy Andersen, Healthwatch Sefton Outreach Officer said:
“It is amazing to have Patricie on board, she is a dynamic and engaging young person who has a real passion for health and social care. She will make a great addition to our team of volunteers, we are really grateful for her donating her time to help us continue our work in improving NHS health and social care providers in Sefton.”
Patricie Gorolova, Healthwatch Sefton Bootle Locality Representative said:
“I am volunteering with Healthwatch Sefton because I feel like the help that they are giving is incredible, little things matter and the work experience is also great for my course.”
If you are interested in volunteering with us and becoming a locality representative, please see here for more information.

Welcome Patricie, we can have a coffee somewhere and a chat re. Bootle if that will help you.
Regards, Barbara Rouse, Chair of South & Central Community Champion Network, Healthwatch Sefton.
