Helpful guide to accessing dental care

Our Information and Signposting service receives a variety of calls but the majority of people we speak to are wanting to find a dentist near them which are taking on NHS patients.

However, we have increasingly heard more and more people who say they are unsure about whether or not they can access treatment at an NHS dentist.

They are also uncertain over what types of treatment are covered in each of the three bands and also the costs associated with those bands.

To help clarify the situation, Dawn Thomas, our Signposting and Information Officer, has put together a helpful leaflet which outlines NHS dental treatment including where to go to access urgent dental care in an emergency.
