New-look website for Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust launched
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust is delighted to launch its new-look website.
The site, which is now live, contains all the current information about the Trust and has a clean and modern new look, that will make it more user-friendly and more attractive to everyone who accesses it.
The design also means it is easier to navigate for patients and staff with a greater focus on accessibility.
There are now options for screen and font colours, the option to decrease or increase font sizes on the page, and a Language Translation tab that allows people to set the page text to a variety of languages.
Now the new platform is in place, we will be constantly looking to update the information and the photographs on the site, in partnership with our staff, and do all we can to make the site as informative as possible for our patients.

I read with interest your new website.
It is a clearer format, but lacking in details formerly available on the old site. For example department staff, and a helpful list of specialist doctors, their medical/ nursing staff and associated managers.
Some areas of services, for example ‘Critical Care’ had mission statement dating back to 2019. Information need to be current.
With the wider geographical spread of the new Trust many will be concerned about the accessibility of certain services given poor public transport.
Hopefully the enlarged Trust will encourage Specialist Medical staff remain and create a career there. And hopefully realistic funding will accompany this enlarged service and deliver to the area’s citizens a reliable, creditable service.
