Special screening of ‘Unsung Hero: The Jack Jones Story’

at the Plaza

Thursday 18th October at 7.30pm

 

‘Unsung Hero: The Jack Jones Story’ is produced by Liverpool based Hurricane Films.

This special event which will celebrate the life and times of Liverpool’s own Jack Jones. It is the result of a partnership between Hurricane Films, The Jack Jones Trust, Spirit of Shankly and Sefton Branch UNISON.

The evening will pay tribute to Jack Jones and feature a Q/A with the film’s director, Sol Papadopoulos, producer Roy Boulter and writer Brian Reade, journalist with The Daily Mirror.

This special one night only event will take place at the Plaza Community Cinema on Thursday 18th October at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and £3 concessions & unwaged.

The event is being sponsored by Sefton Branch UNISON and will enable all ticket monies to be donated to Fans Supporting Foodbanks and Pensioners Alliance.

This event will provide an insight into the work and achievements of one of Liverpool’s ‘Unsung Heroes’ and will appeal to those with an interest in social history  as well as those involved in the Trade Union movement and the Labour Party.
