Staff and service users at Bowersdale Resource Centre recently achieved their Level 1 Award in First Aid for Mental Health Awareness. The course was delivered by Select Training CIC everyone really enjoyed the day and came away with some valuable skills.
Bowersdale and Select Training are both part of our Healthwatch Sefton Community Champion network. We have two groups, the South & Central Sefton group and the Southport & Formby group, consisting of community groups/organisations, health centres and GPs.
The network members also open up their venues and events to Healthwatch Sefton, supporting our goal to engage with local people and groups. The community organisations/groups within this network meet every two months to share the issues affecting their service users. The matters arising within these meetings are fed up to the Healthwatch Steering Group.
