Transport Committee has re-opened its call for evidence as part of its inquiry into accessible transport

July 17, 2023

The Transport Committee has reopened it’s call for evidence in relation to the proposal to close 300 ticket offices.

The decision to re-open submissions comes after train operating companies launched consultations into plans to close over 300 ticket offices across the rail network.

The Committee invites written evidence in response to these proposals, specifically addressing:

  • How they could affect disabled people and travellers with access needs;
  • What train companies and the Government need to do to ensure that any new arrangements do not reduce access to rail travel.

Submissions can be made up to 5pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023.

Please visit Your Sefton Your Say Consultation Hub www.yourseftonyoursay.sefton.gov.uk/ to view the Accessible Transport page, where you can provide your evidence.

Please share with your networks and contacts.
