Views of those with learning disabilities and autism needed to improve experience of hospital appointments

August 14, 2025

We would like to hear the views and experiences of patients with learning disabilities or autism to inform how hospitals can best support people waiting for their elective care hospital appointments in the future.

Elective care includes planned, non-emergency care such as tests, outpatient appointments, surgeries or cancer treatment. We have developed some surveys to help us to capture this  information.   The surveys can be completed individually, or with carer support, or within  a group.

Links to information leaflets are below and also the links to the surveys.  Unfortunately, we can only accept the feedback in this digital way..

We have provided a facilitator sheet for any group sessions so information can be shared collectively.

The survey closes at 5pm Friday 29 August 2025.
