Sharing ways to be mindful
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) has recognised that people need to look after their wellbeing during the pandemic and have suggested resources and ideas to help with this.
A NWAS spokesperson commented: “As we continue to live through a global pandemic, it is more important than ever to explore positive ways on how we can look after ourselves and each other. Finding happiness in these challenging times can feel a challenge in itself sometimes, so we wanted to share some ideas and resources with you all which may help you to boost your health and wellbeing.”

Letters for the NHS and care homes
The NWAS says: “The last year has been one we certainly will not forget, but one positive that we can take from this year is the act of kindness and how it can make such a difference to somebody’s day.
“Our wonderful NHS key workers have been working right throughout the pandemic, their hard work and dedication is truly admirable. If you know of any key workers who you think deserve recognition for their commitment, particularly during the last year, you can nominate them for a personalised letter to thank them. Another idea from the Crisis Project, is to write letters to an older person in a care home. It has been an extremely lonely year for many people, so receiving a letter like this could really brighten their day.”
