Healthwatch Sefton Chairman Visits Mersey Port Health Authority

Our wonderful Healthwatch Sefton Chairman, Dr John Turner paid a visit to Mersey Port Health Authority. He joined the team at the Border Control Post to see what checks they do on imported food and how they are carried out.
Did you know that Port Health covers 53 miles of the Mersey and Sefton coast and includes the thriving Royal Seaforth Container Terminal, modern deep water facility Liverpool2, the cruise liner terminal, John Lennon Airport and monitoring of Southport’s cockle beds. Many of the fifty thousand crew members arriving annually from around the world are welcomed at the Seafarers Centre Waterloo.
