Aintree Tinnitus Support Group Meetings 2016

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in Room 2.07 of the Clinical Science Centre, Aintree University Hospital. The meetings start at 6 pm and finish at 7.30 pm.
The Terms of Reference of Aintree Tinnitus Support Group:
To provide additional information and support to patients, and their significant others, living with tinnitus.
It is not a substitute for an individual management plan and individual medical advice cannot be given at the meetings.
January: No meeting in January
3rd February: The Positive Thoughts Course – Mrs. Sue Martin
Tinnitus Awareness Week 8th -14th February. Theme = prevention
2nd March: Hyperacusis (an abnormal tolerance to sound)– Tony Kay, Head of Audiology Services
6th April: Psychological considerations of tinnitus – James Le Couteur Trainee Clinical Psychologist
Eighth Anniversary of the Aintree Tinnitus Support Group
4th May: Hearing loss, tinnitus, improving deaf awareness – John Wong, Audiologist
Deaf Awareness Week 2nd – 7th May
1st June: Psychological therapies and Mindfulness. Ruth Dark, Psychological Therapist
6th July: Sound therapy – a free tinnitus App. Oticon
August: No meeting in August
7th September: Practical ways to improve sleep. Gaynor Chittick, Chief Audiologist
5th October: Tinnitus treatment update. Kim Moss, Senior Audiologist
2nd November: Meditation and positive thinking. Carliann Parry, Peace Love yoga UK,
7th December: Informal session facilitated by Tony Kay: What helps tinnitus?
