Social care workers thanked by the Secretary of State

March 31, 2020

The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, has written to the social care workforce to thank them for their efforts during the coronavirus outbreak.

In the letter he recognises the difficulties they are facing including looking out for friends and family as well as caring for people on the frontline.

The secretary of state thanks them for taking on extra shifts to cover others needing to isolate and also acknowledges many in the social care system who are having to go out to work while their loved ones remain home.

To help them he says parking on council owned on-street spaces and car parks will be free for them to use.
