Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust appoint new Chief Executive

Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have appointed former Director of Finance and Business Services Steve Warburton as the new Chief Executive.

Dear Colleagues

I am delighted to confirm that Steve Warburton, formerly Director of Finance and Business Services and currently Acting Chief Executive, has been appointed as Chief Executive of the Trust.

This follows approval of the unanimous decision of the Appointments Panel by the Council of Governors at its meeting on 9 December 2015.

As we all know, these are challenging times for the NHS as a whole and indeed for our organisation but I have every confidence that Steve will provide the leadership required to build upon the strong foundations already in place, and to navigate us through these challenges in pursuance of our common purpose, to
get it right for every patient every time.

Steve will continue to have the full and active support of the Board of Directors and Aintree’s Executive Team and I am sure you will join me in congratulating Steve and wishing him well in his new role.
