Free Event on Leaving Hospital and Staying at Home Safely

Health professionals who help discharge patients safely from hospital and keep them well at home will be on hand for a special free event at Aintree University Hospital on Wednesday 1 June.

The ‘Focus On… Discharge’ event gives people the chance to find out more about the award-winning Aintree @ Home service,  the Aintree 2 Home discharge support team, and even to try high-tech aids which are available for people to use in their own homes.

Aintree’s Governors will also be on hand, giving people a chance to raise any issues about the hospital informally. Members of social services and other agencies will also be attending.

The event is being held at the Clinical Sciences Centre, with a market place event, including the chance to try out assistive technology aids, starting at 1.30pm. Presentations start at 2pm.

The event is free and open to anyone, whether they are a member of Aintree’s Foundation Trust or not.
