Have your say on ambulance services by joining the Patient and Public Panel

May 19, 2021

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) established its Patient and Public Panel (PPP) in September 2019 and now has a diverse membership of nearly 150 members of the public from across the North West.

The PPP gives patients and the public an opportunity to share their views and help shape NWAS’ emergency, patient transport and 111 services. Would you like to be involved too?

A spokesperson says: “We have developed varying levels of participation to ensure people can get involved in a way that suits them best, depending on the amount of time and level of interest they have. It can even be done virtually!

“Participation can include responding to surveys, giving feedback on publications, initiatives and strategies, taking part in focus groups along with participating in Area Learning Forums and a number of meetings for our different workstreams.”

Membership is open to anyone who lives in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria or Glossop (Derbyshire), isn’t currently employed by NWAS and is 16 or over.

Applications are welcome from people of all backgrounds, beliefs, cultures and circumstances to ensure the panel is representative of the diverse communities served by North West Ambulance Service.
