Hartley Hospital shortlisted for top award
A wide range of stakeholders including construction and health partners, service users and carers, and many others, worked with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Hartley Hospital project team towards its phase two completion in December 2020.
The project is being recognised for the way it involved service users and carers over several years from inception to planning stages and final completion.
Their involvement ran over several years dating back to design and planning sessions by the project team, wayfinding and signage discussions, site visits during construction, the naming process, as well as ongoing public engagement sessions at local Life Rooms as well as Sefton Council venues (pre-COVID restrictions).
The team has been shortlisted in the Design in Mental Health Awards’ Service User Engagement category, the winner to be announced later this summer. See all the shortlisted nominees.
