If you use Mersey Care’s phlebotomy (blood test) service – have your say!
Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is keen to understand from patients how they would prefer to make appointments for blood tests, and is running a survey from 1 December until 12 December 2022.
Patients booking an appointment during this period will be asked if they prefer making appointments online via our website, speaking to call handlers who can make appointments on their behalf or having the option to visit a clinic and wait.
Mersey Care has on average 10,000 appointments for blood tests across Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley each week, which is why we want to make the service as efficient as possible.
Patients booking an appointment, will be asked to let the Trust know how they would like to book their appointments in the future.
Patients not needing a blood test appointment during this time are still welcome to complete the survey.

I did mine online but somehow got 2 different appointments, not just the 1 I’d booked. It was a faff to do as had to find my NHS number and scroll through a list to find my doctors details. Website could be improved, I’m sure.

The current, internet system of booking tests appears to work very well. My only complaint is regarding the long wait for an appointment. When attending, the system is efficient and professional.
