New provider for children’s health services in Sefton

April 4, 2017

From 1 April, North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (previously 5 Boroughs Partnership) will be the new provider of the 0 to 19 Healthy Child Programme in Sefton.

Building on the current work to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families in the borough, the programme includes the provision of health visiting, a new enhanced service to support vulnerable families, and school nursing across Sefton.

North West Boroughs Healthcare will be building on the excellent work already being done as well as knowledge and experience of delivering similar services in Knowsley and St Helens, to benefit children, young people and families in Sefton.

Referral routes and contact details will remain the same and, aside from the logo changing on appointment letters and paperwork, children and their families should not initially see any major changes. Staff from the current service will transfer to North West Boroughs Healthcare.

Arrangements are being made for Kerrie France, Assistant Director (Clinical), to attend a future GP / practice manager cluster meeting and headteachers’ forums to explain more about the services available.
