Sefton’s New Housing Strategy is currently open for public consultation – until 29th July 2022
Housing should provide a secure foundation for individuals to live the lives they want to live. Finding the right home, in the right place, can be an essential platform for people seeking to support their families and sustain work. Within Sefton, access to suitable, good quality and affordable housing is a key priority for all its residents and communities.
Our draft Housing Strategy sets out the Council’s vision and aims for housing in the Borough for the next five years and beyond. It describes the key priorities affecting the local housing market and what the Council intends to do to help overcome these challenges and create the right conditions to improve housing outcomes, for the benefit of our local people.
In developing a robust housing strategy, good practice guidance indicates the importance of developing a ‘shared’ strategy, in collaboration with key partners, and also through consultation with a wider group of stakeholders and the community.
You can have your say by completing the survey which can be accessed via the link below. The information provided will be used to help inform the final draft of the strategy, to ensure that it meets the needs of the Sefton Communities, and achieve the best outcomes for all Sefton’s residents.
