National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) are looking for people with an understanding of receiving care before, during and after an operation and the issues important to patients and unpaid carers.

Venous thromboembolic diseases guideline committee

NICE are looking for people with an understanding of either deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism and the issues important to patients and their unpaid carers.

Who are NICE looking for to fill these roles?

NICE would welcome an application from those who have recent experience or knowledge of these topics and are able to reflect the views, experiences and needs of the public to ensure they are included in the development of these guidelines. They need to be able to contribute effectively in a formal committee setting. NICE lay members are paid a fee to attend meetings and travel and other expenses are covered.
