Flicks and Friends in February

February 19, 2019

Next Tuesday sees the February Flicks & Friends screening at the Plaza Community Cinema in Waterloo.

Mary, Queen of Scots is to be shown on February 26 with doors opening at 12.15pm before the film begins at 1pm.

The film is a latest release and stars Saoirse Ronan as Mary with Margot Robbie as her cousin, Queen Elizabeth 1. The historical drama chronicles the 1569 conflict between the two countries.

Age Concern Crosby, which received funding from Living Well Sefton’s Community Resilience Grant to organise the events, explain that there is no need to book, just bring along the £1 for the film which includes refreshments and biscuits.

These are popular occasions and Age Concern Crosby adds: “Flicks & Friends is specifically to help people aged over 60 who want to meet new friends and have an afternoon out.

“If you are traveling by car, parking is quite limited in the area once the cinema car park is full, so please allow for parking time.”
