Healthwatch Liverpool are recruiting a new Engagement & Project Officer!

We are looking to recruit someone to join the Engagement team at Healthwatch Liverpool with a focus on Learning Disability and Autism development work.

We are the independent champion for people using health and social care services in Liverpool. We listen to what people like about services and what could be improved and share these views with those with the power to make change happen. People can also speak to us to find information about health and wellbeing services and activities available locally.

Your focus in this post will be on health and social care issues as they impact on people with a learning disability and people with autism.

Main Focus of Post

  1. As a key member of the Engagement Team, your focus will be on developing forums and Partnership Boards to allow key groups of the public to have their experiences and views heard and acted on by service providers, commissioners and public bodies in health, social care and other key services.
  2. Two forums / Partnership Boards will be established. One will be for people with Learning Disabilities, and the second will be for autistic people.
  3. You will also help ensure that all Healthwatch Liverpool activity is inclusive and reflective of these groups
  4. This role encompasses office based and community-based activities and may require frequent attendance at meetings with health & social care providers, commissioners and diverse patient and service user groups.

Terms

  • Salary £23,880
  • 35 hours a week
  • Subject to an enhanced DBS and satisfactory references
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days with long service)
  • Fixed term until 31st March 2023 with the possibility of extension to July 2024 subject to Healthwatch contract. There will be a 6 month probationary period.
