Healthwatch Sefton response to NHS Modernisation Bill

May 20, 2026

Healthwatch Sefton is reassuring local people that it remains committed to being their independent voice in health and social care, following the publication of the NHS Modernisation Bill.

The Bill proposes changes to how people’s views and experiences are represented nationally and locally. At this stage, these proposals are still being reviewed by Parliament and may be amended before any final decisions are made.

What does this mean for local people?

Right now, there are no changes to the services we provide.

Healthwatch Sefton continues to:

  • Listen to people’s experiences of health and care services
  • Provide free, impartial information and signposting to local support
  • Share feedback with decision-makers to help improve services

Your voice remains vital in shaping local health and care services, and we encourage everyone to continue telling us about their experiences.

We are still here for you

Healthwatch Sefton wants to reassure residents that we are still here, still listening, and still working on your behalf.

Our information and signposting service can help you:
