Help to Shape Care Together

February 23, 2021

Sefton residents are being reminded they can still share their views and experiences of local healthcare, by getting involved with Shaping Care Together, a new programme designed to improve services across the area.

Shaping Care Together aims to do just that – shape, develop and improve future services for everyone, based on feedback from the patients, carers and staff who use and deliver those services.

A listening and consultation exercise is now underway and the residents and users of services are being encouraged to participate.

Healthwatch Sefton is supporting this work by hosting an early evening online event via Zoom this Thursday, February 25th at 6pm.

Residents who live or work in Maghull are encouraged to attend this session as Healthwatch Sefton understands many people from this area access services from both Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk General Hospital.

To register your place, please email info@healthwatchsefton.co.uk or give the team a call on 0800 206 1304.

Two more online events for those living in the Formby area to have their say will take place on Wednesday 3rd March 2pm – 3:30pm or alternatively 6:30pm – 8pm. You can register your place below;

Wednesday 3rd March 2pm – 3.30pm, book here…
Wednesday 3rd March 6.30pm – 8pm, book here…

Shaping Care Together is led by NHS Southport and Formby CCG NHS West Lancashire CCG and Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust and is the first stage of a process to understand patient experience and views before any proposals to solve the challenges faced are considered.

This programme will last throughout 2021 and there will be many opportunities for local people to have their say.

  1. In addition to my annual check up and my dentist on Hoghton St. Southport on Friday, 26th February, I also have a podiatry appointment on Hoghton St. Thursday, 4th March 2021.
