Hospital parking charges to restart on Tuesday 1 December

From Tuesday 1 December 2020 car park charges will be reintroduced at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals.

The Trust have installed a new system which means no ticket will be issued when visitors enter the car parks. Instead, closed-circuit TV will register each vehicle’s number plate.

When it is time to leave, the driver must enter the same number into one of our parking payment machines. The machine will calculate the fee, which once paid, will automatically lift the barrier on exit. No ticket is issued or needed.

The Trust are also reintroducing free parking for all Blue Badge holders and it is retained for some other categories of visitors/patients. There is more information on our website.

Staff will be available to guide and support visitors with the new system.
