Your views are needed for Sefton all age carers consultation now open

November 27, 2023

Sefton Carers Strategy 2024-2027 sets out the council’s commitment to unpaid carers and shows how partners in the borough will work together to support unpaid carers of all ages in Sefton. The Strategy is owned by a partnership of organisations in Sefton together with carers and residents.

Our vision is that unpaid carers of all ages in Sefton will have support for their physical health, mental health and wellbeing needs whilst they are meeting the needs of the person they care for, ensuring carers own life choices and ambitions are supported and recognised.

We want to make sure that unpaid carers in Sefton have the help and support they need as they look after the people they care for and to look after themselves.

Consultation

From Thursday 23rd November 2023 to Sunday 18th February 2024, we will be holding a consultation about our draft All Age Carers Strategy. We would like to hear from people who look after a family member, friend or loved one and have their help to shape the final strategy.

The consultation is open to anyone aged five and above in a caring role. A carer is anyone who looks after someone who couldn’t manage without their help.

You can complete a short survey online at Your Sefton Your Say. Physical copies of the Strategy and survey will be available at the Sefton Carers Centre and in any library in the Borough.   You can aslo access it via the QR code below.

If you need help to complete the survey, or are unable to access a digital version, you can call 0151 934 2888. Comments on the draft Strategy can be emailed to yourseftonyoursay@sefton.gov.uk.
