Southport and Formby Community Champions

This network has a membership of over 30 community groups/organisations, health centres and GPs. The network members also open up their venues and events to Healthwatch Sefton, supporting our goal to engage with local people and groups. The community organisations/groups within this network meet every two months to share the issues affecting their service users. The matters arising within these meetings are fed up to the Healthwatch Steering Group.

• Select Training CIC – Select Training Community Interest Company was created by two qualified teachers, in response to the mental health crisis. It is their vision that everyone can access support for their mental health. They aim to build individuals confidence to have open conversations around mental health and break the stigma. • The Life Rooms Southport – The Life Rooms empower people and communities to live the best way they can, offering an open door to a better day. Through health activation and community access, they support people to improve their health, wellbeing, and social circumstances.
